wow, that looks amazing! An amazing amount of dedication as well. So if it is made of paper and glue, how can you wear it/have a fully functioning helmet/have an ac reactor?? (i don't know much about craft :D)

Great! I remember I had to do the helmet 3 times before it looked the way i want it to. Are you using fiberglass resin? I use smooth cast 321 it is amazing and you can use it inside without all the harmful fumes. Are you motorizing the faceplate?

Yeah I had the same problem with my first warmachine build.
and yeah I'm fiberglassing everything because it just get's harder and sturdier. (seeing I go to conventions and such I want it to be crowd resistant)
and I just do it in my workshop (will post some pics of it later when I'm done.)
And I'll motorise it but I gotta figure out how.

what about you ?

Oh man my iron man costume is going to take more time to create. My little cousin spilled water on my machanical hinges broke my fiberglassed helmet. Spilled my 90 $ bottle of smooth cast 321. So I'm cooling off before I go out and spend money. On iron man again. I'm going to cosplay Spiderman for a while. Sigh. Oh well, that's Christmas with the family.

ouch! Jesus dude that does suck.
I'm going to order everything for my electrical hinges next month.
And 90$ bucks? what the hell man haha did he spill those huge buckets ?
and yeah I'm just glad I got a workshop I can store everything in, so no one can ever touch/ruin my stuff :P

Yeah. Oh well, the machanical hinge part was my favorit part. :) have fun. Yeah, he thought for some reason, that's my smooth cast should have been dumped on the floor. Hes okay with is a good thing but my heart sank. Lol but I saved the hinges:) so that's a bridge I don't have to cross again :)

Exactly! I'm going to be using fiberglass and a clay mold, so it should be very sturdy!

Wow, that is some amazing craftmanship, and motivation you have there.
Really amazing job.

I thought it was paper, but thought it looked to amazing and had to be plastic.
